Hopefully, the game will finally release in March 2023 and not suffer any more delays. After that, we didn’t get any release window and this is the first anyone has heard of this new delay. System Shock remake got pushed into 2022 as the studio partnered with Prime Matter to release the game. Nightdive update the demo of the game that year but could not meet the release date, again. This had no impact on the remake and the 2020 release date was now late 2021. The demo got praise from players and critics alike and the System Shock remake looked great.ĭuring this, Tencent bought the rights to the System Shock sequels from OtherSider Entertainment. Good agreement is also seen for these two. A 2020 release was on the cards according to Stephen Kick and even a demo came out on Steam in May of that year. Only one short - shock reproducibility experiment was performed and is given for a 25 mm run with a LiF window. However, the game started development again and the project was even bigger than before. One of the main reasons was how it had gone from being a remake to a reboot and Nightdive needed more funding. Afterward, in February 2018, Stephen Kick announced that the remake’s development is on hold. It went very well and they reached their goal before time and wanted to release the game in 2017.īut, they didn’t meet this release date as the studio decided to move System Shock to Unreal Engine 4. First Nightdive had to collect funding for the System Shock remake from Kickstarter so they could start development. The game has had to go through many speed bumps that have delayed its release during its development. System Shock coming March 2023 according to Steam /qI3tyxOJsA As the Steam page says, the game is once again pushing ahead its release date. The game has been delayed multiple times.System Shock remake will release in March 2023 according to Steam. It has moved ahead many times and now it seems like another delay is coming. Probably the most frequent change has been that of its release date. ![]() Nightdive Studios has made many changes during its production from shifting engines to price changes. It has been in the works for almost 7 years now. This remake of the original game is probably the most ambitious project the studio has ever worked on. Hence, it makes total sense that one of the studios’ remakes is of System Shock. ![]() ![]() After Kick was unable to buy the second game in the series, he came up with the idea of Nightdive. The studio that now remakes old games was only built due to the original System Shock’s unavailability. The question at the moment is how I can get games to run in windowed mode, when I have to use ctrl-alt-delete to return to my desktop, and then getting windowed mode to recognize the game, which it currently is not able to since it only recognizes the last thing you were looking at, which in this case I am forced to look at the task manager last before bringing OBS back up.When creator Stephen Kick set the basis for Nightdive Studios, one of the main reasons was System Shock. Now, I would like to digress from that matter and return to the original topic at hand. So to be honest again, I am perfectly fine with no longer receiving responses from those that post redundant help that no longer holds any relevancy towards my problem. And as you noticed, I have been quite polite and thankful towards those that genuinely gave an effort to help with relevant information/questions. I did not want to repeat what has already been discussed, but there you go. ![]() The problem now is that the screen is black when streaming, and after uploading a log here, it has been revealed it is because it is an old enough game that it does not utilize DX9 or OpenGL, meaning I cannot use game capture on Enclave. That has already been addressed: I got OBS to recognize Enclave after running it as an Administrator, which means yes, I have already been able to use the drop-down menu to begin streaming the game in question.
